Origami from ori meaning "folding" and kami meaning "paper". This is the traditional Japenese art of folding paper. This art can take up to 40 hours depending on the size of the piece. The folds made with the paper are usually small and it can turn into a huge sculpted piece of paper. I was interested in this because this has some relation to what we are working on in class. There is nothing specific that you have to make with origami, it has a very wide range of sculptures that is all left up to your imagination and time.
Purpose:
The whole purpose of this is to turn a flat sheet of normal paper into a sclupture without glue.

1. Do you think origami is a waste of time or something meaningful ?
2.What is the most amount of time you think you would spend on making a origami sculpture ?
3.What type of sculpture do you think would take the most amount of time making ?
