Comics have also been a way to continue stories that cannot be shown in the same media as it was originally; such as how the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics have continued the television show.

The reason for the name is because originally, comic books had humorous storylines, though now they follow all types of stories genres, from mystery to horror, and drama to action. Comics can still be funny, but that is not there only function. They can still tell all types of stories.

To say if a book is better than a comic depends on the audience. Some people like to read book because they like to make inferences and its no clue of whays next. Books give more description and allow you to make the image yourself unlike comics. But since books arent always clear they can be misleading, and thats one reason why comics are good because you can actually see whats happening as you read alone.
ReplyDeleteSome comics are better than books. It depends on the book and the comic. A comic gives you a visual and sometimes you have to figure of what it is saying. A book, you just read it and if it is a good book, you can't wait to read what happens next.

ReplyDeleteOne of the most famous characters is Silver Surfer. He is one of the noblest and most cosmic entities in the universe. The Silver Surfer wants freedom for his people more than anything else. During these struggles, he has often had to do evil things for the greater good. He was born as Norrin Radd on the planet Zenn-La, part of an extremely long-lived and more advanced human race which had created a city with people who didn’t want crime, disease, hunger, poverty, and evilness of any kind. He is able to absorb cosmic energy. He is completely indestructible and so is his board. His board is linked to his thoughts, so the board will do whatever he wants it to do. Also, he can see through time. That’s my famous character.

I know that Superman and Batman are over 30 years old. I do think that comics are better than books because they have more pictures. Since they have pictures, it engages the person in what is being viewed more. If you can't read very well, when you look at the pictures you can interpret what is going on.

The pictures make the comic book more visually entertaining because you can see the action that was shown in the text. Comics books are much faster to read and have less texts than books. Little kids can enjoy comic books and be able to read them. Comic books were always my favorite since when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI ENJOY A SERIES OF COMIC BOOKS BUT MARVEL COMICS' ARE THE BEST. COMIC BOOKS ARE IN SOME FORM BETTER THAN REGULAR BOOKS BECAUSE THEY GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT AND ARE MORE QUICKER TO READ. THE VISUAL ASPECTS OF COMICS HELP YOU UNDERSTAND BETTER BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE WHAT ACTIONS ARE TAKEN PLACE WHILE READING.
